i have probably walked by a humongous wall of coins in kathmandu, probably on my way to buy some milk for my grandma. you see, across every street, you see a new temple, a new shrine. and usually, i would just close my eyes when i see and bow my head as respect, and move along the way.
but who would have known that the wall of coins was actually the holy dentist of kathmandu? that people were offering coins, and nailing it to the wall - apologies for my vocab - nailing to a tree as an offering to vaishya dev, the god of toothache?
how many of the stories have i walked by? despite living in nepal for nine years, how much do i actually know about my stories, about the people before me?
always stay curious, jelly
